Valencia Taiko Experience 2026
Taiko is the Japanese word for ‘drum’. Playing Japanese drums is a physically intensive experience, characterized by large drums, thick drumsticks, and a spectacular performance style.
Location
Our workshop venue is nestled in the mountains of Valencia. The location features a fully equipped kitchen, excellent accommodations, and a beautiful, atmospheric swimming pool.
Who is it for?
Everyone! The week is designed to provide space and individual attention for all skill levels. You don’t need a musical background or athletic experience; during this week, ‘character’ is more important than experience! 🙂
Meet your Instructor
The workshops are led by Erwin Oudshoorn, artistic director of Circle Percussion. Erwin is the creator and founder of IDÕ Drum Workouts and has been playing Japanese drums for 33 years. In addition to his popular training sessions across the Netherlands and Europe, Erwin has been hosting Taiko workshop weeks in Spain since 2004. He was trained by masters from the world-renowned Japanese Taiko group KODÕ.

Please note: The price excludes your flight/travel to Valencia. We will pick you up directly from Valencia Airport.
